The Brewing steps
-
1
Malting
Barley grains are moistened and allowed to germinate to develop essential enzymes. Germination is then stopped by drying, producing malt.
-
2
Milling
The dried malt is coarsely crushed to break the grain, allowing water to more easily extract sugars and aromas.
-
3
Mashing
Crushed malt is mixed with hot water in the mash tun. Enzymes convert starch into fermentable sugars, creating wort.
-
4
Fermentation
The wort is cooled and yeast is added. It converts sugars into alcohol and CO₂, while creating much of the beer’s aroma profile.
-
5
Maturation
The young beer matures cold for several weeks. Aromas refine, flavors round out, and the beer clarifies naturally.
-
6
Centrifugation
The beer passes through a centrifuge that rapidly separates yeast and solid particles from the liquid using centrifugal force.
-
7
Filtration
The beer is filtered to achieve clarity and brilliance by removing remaining suspended particles, while preserving its flavour.
-
8
Pasteurization
The beer is gently heated for a short time. This stabilizes the product, eliminates unwanted microorganisms, and extends shelf life.
-
9
Package
The finished beer is packaged in bottles, cans, or kegs. Volume and CO₂ pressure are checked, and labels are applied before shipping.
